I feel like this picture just fails to capture how rad this @zuberofficial fireguard is. Printed in 1831, it’s “the only known use of prismatic colors for a figurative subject”—WALLPAPER: A HISTORY.
Our little drive down memory lane continues! The project that kicked off this company aka 200-hour feasibility study aka figuring it out as you go aka @bernsteinsbagels St. John’s! A repeat pattern of everything bagel bouquets featuring poppy, sesame, caraway, wheat, barley, onion, garlic, sea salt, made with hand-cut stencils and hand-painted. Two years and three months ago; feels like so much longer than that and also no time at all. Cameo by that handsome devil @peterrainbeau 💚🧡💚🧡💚

Just looked through a ton of pics from @sierra.catherine as we compile images and video for our #kickstarter campaign, and MAN did I feel a lot of feelings. What an amazing incredible experience this has been! Sometimes overwhelming, sometimes stressful and uncertain but I have loved every single minute of it, and it has been the most rewarding work I’ve ever done. I LOVE my job more than I can express in words; I love getting to transform pedestrian spaces into enchanted worlds; I love getting to dive deep into research and set my brain on fire with beauty. I can’t express deep enough thanks to everyone who has supported and encouraged and cheerleaded and trusted and nurtured me in this nascent business, most especially my trusted right hand, my Estanciera, @sierra.catherine , and my love and best friend and person who’s had my back through this huge career transition, @peterrainbeau ; to my bagel husband @noerbh and the whole @bernsteinsbagels crew, who’ve been so generous and created so much space for me and believed in me so hard, to @competitiveart and @candacecohu who’ve been there for me every time I’ve asked and been endlessly patient with the fits and starts of a new business; to the incredibly talented designers who’ve trusted me with their gorgeous spaces when the business was new and been mentors and friends: first and most especially the amazing @jhinteriordesign and obviously/forever my 💖jumpsuit twin @heidicaillierdesign ; to @lyrinor kindred spirit and valiant house reformer. And I have to give a shout out to my @icontattoo family—the nest I helped build and then flew away from (not too far though. Just across the street and upstairs), I love you guys so much, thanks for being my friends and supporting me. These pics are from LP’s magical trip to Chicago last year, the best work trip of all time, where we painted a beautiful nursery in collaboration with the beautiful @leorzlotnik and left a good-size chunk of our hearts in Chicago generally, and specifically at the Art Institute.
